Custom Crates & Pallets
At AFP, Inc., our custom designed and fabricated protective packaging has been a mainstay for companies in various industries for close to 40 years. For our ATA cases, custom crates and pallets, all of our capabilities come together to offer clients the best quality products in the industry. We provide all varieties of crates and pallets; custom constructed to meet our customers' exact requirements and to the most stringent industry standards. Whether our clients need design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, or supply chain solutions, we deliver with efficient operations, fast lead times, and highly competitive prices.
We are equipped with a wide range of equipment to produce our pallets, including a CNC router, automated saws and fixturing equipment. With this top level machinery, we can provide virtually any type of crate or pallet. AFP, Inc. also has the ability to build crates on-site/on location. These include collapsible, shock and reusable pallets, as well as heat treated pallets and crates for international shipping. We can utilize materials such as plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), birch plywood, softwood, white pine, and much more. AFP, Inc. follows guides set by ISPM15 Regulations for exporting packaging containing wood products.
Our custom crates are available with a complete range of characteristics and are able to meet the most detailed customer specifications. We offer barcoding, casters, cradling, dunnage, handles, and hinges for our crates. Other options include lift handles, lock latches, ramp doors, sheeting, shock absorbers, and stenciling. Vacuum sealing, vapor barriers, and water-tight construction is available as well.
As an alternative to wood pallets, AFP can also provide corrugated pallets, which can be a good choice in the right conditions. Corrugated pallets are lightweight, durable, reusable, and fully recyclable. The significant weight difference (corrugated pallets weigh approximately 1/5 of what wood pallets do) can net sizable savings in freight costs.
Many different packaging options are available to ensure that all products shipped in our crates reach their destinations in the best possible condition. We pack with polyethylene, polyurethane, EPS, corrugated, and Hexacomb® materials, along with barrier bags. Our ATA cases, custom crates and pallets have been used to transport material for some of the market's most demanding industries. These have included communications, electronic components, medical, military, optical, and pharmaceutical applications, among many others.
We take quality very seriously and provide a complete range of tests to ensure our crates and pallets meet the industry's most stringent standards. Our service-oriented operations deliver some of the most competitive prices and lead times in the industry, all while never compromising on quality. Rush and emergency services are available, with lead times quoted on a job by job basis.
